seogwang tea field of jeju is located in seogwang-ri, namjeju-gun, near a historical site where sir kim jeong hee consoled himself with the tea from zen priest choui and completed many academic publications during his exile. seogwang-ri was a barren town that was covered with rocks, but amorepacific transformed it into a fertile land and formed korea’s largest 240,000 tea field with the reclamation project that began in 1983.
