environmental management that delivers the hearts of people to nature

AmorePacific believes that a company cannot exist separate from nature and people and makes efforts to practice sustainable management for coexistence in harmony.
AmorePacific aims to contribute to its customers’ beautiful and healthy lives by creating innovative environmental values and pursuing sustainable improvement through eco-centered management activities that balance the environment with the economic values.

Green tea fields play important roles in the environment. In result of a recent research with Jeju National University, it has been proven that green tea fields reduce greenhouse gases, the major cause of climate changes around the globe. It has been verified that about 520,000py tea fields created by reclaiming about 1,000,000py deserted lands eliminated about 51,000 tons of carbon dioxide and absorbs additional 9,000 tons of carbon dioxide each year.

It has been proven that AmorePacific’s tea business not only benefits people’s health and beauty, but also protects the environment and inhibits global warming.

organic cultivation – the tenacity for even safer and cleaner green tea

AmorePacific’s green tea is grown pure and clean by the clear waters of the Halla Mountain and the clean breeze of Jeju. Not only that, every process from production to distribution, including leaf-picking, steaming, roasting, fermenting, low-temperature storing, and packaging, is managed according to strict standards. We have adopted scientific agricultural techniques to ensure consistent quality and taste all year long and carefully select quality ingredients to make our products.

In result, AmorePacific obtained HACCP and GAP certifications for every process from production to distribution for the first time in the tea industry. Not settling with practicing eco-friendly farming in every tea field, we have constantly improved organic cultivation for Seogwang Tea Field to be certified by the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) and the National Organic Program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 2010. By 2011, we will have all tea fields certified by the organic program to provide our customers with even safer and healthier beverages of nature.
